How to clean a popcorn machine


Popcorn machines are a money-maker for snack bars, concession stands around the world. They produce a food that is in demand to make sure your customers can walk away from your satisfied with their purchase and bringing them back for more later. But after finishing up a busy day, you need to clean your popcorn machine carts to avoid grease build-up and other harmful problems. It helps your food taste better too.

                                                    Cleaning your popcorn machine 

Before you start the cleaning procedure, make sure all the heating and light switches are off. Let the kettle cool for at least 30 minutes before you clean it. You can follow these steps to clean your popcorn machine.

1.    Pour cleaning solution into the kettle.

2.    Then, plug the machine back and let the kettle’s heat    until the solution boils.

3.    Turn off heat and let kettle cool.

4.    Eliminate kettle from supports.

5.    Pour solution into a safe disposal location.

6.    Wipe down the rest of the kettle.

7.    Repeat the above step for stubborn soils.


Clean the cabinet after cleaning the popcorn machine. Wipe down the floor plating and remove the crumb tray. Clean those as needed with a metal-safe solution. This will remove any splotches or stains that the popper picked up during the day.

    Never store your popcorn in a damp place. To keep the popcorn from becoming chewy, you can store it in a sealed container at room temperature.

    Palm and coconut oils make a great flavor, but they are the least healthy of all the available cooking oils. They burn the cleanest, so these may be the option for high-volume applications. Sunflower, peanut, Canola, and sunflower can also be used. 

    A fail-safe technique for making quality batches of popcorn is to buy pre-packaged kits that have pre-measured popcorn, salt, oil in precise ratios.
